Excellent value. Exceptionally helpful and friendly staff. Location and ease of parking compared to alternatives Quiet and comfortable Clean Large room

No bar or restaurant however this didn't present any problem that Uber Ears couldn't fix. Some may find fault as there are parts that could do with a refurb and if you look for faults you'll find them however I was more than comfortable and enjoyed my stay

Breakfast was terrible

Room has a good space and clean and very warm. Staff is very helpful.

Smell of the incense in the room, hot water does not hot enough and we cannot open the window. In summer will be so hot in the room.

Clean, comfortable, nicely decorated room. Big tv. Coffee making facilities in room. Quality toiletries in the bathroom Friendly staff on hand Breakfast available, although I didn’t need it. Plenty of parking (enter your reg no in reception)

The welcome was very friendly, the room was very clean.

Would have been nice to have been able to get a cooked breakfast, and maybe an evening meal also maybe have a bar open to be able to sit and have a drink.

Pool and facility closed due to the Coronavirus which is understandable. we had to change rooms just because of the t.v. not working.

On arrival we went into the bar/restaurant where we ordered a drinks and food the bar was not busy only 3/4 couples. when the meals arrived one was burnt black so was returned only to arrive back to the table in a burnt state again this also was brought to the attention of the staff and a full refund was given out of the three couples that where sat next to us there orders were all wrong in some form. The staff and the hotel itself was fine but the food was diabolical.

Being with family

Dirty hotel, way to busy for what the staff can handle. I asked politely if they could give the stairs a clean as they were dirty and this was ignored. My sister then had to walk through this in her dressing gown. Corridors on arrival full of dirty washing, rubbish. Not pleasant. Food was cold and vegetarian options not cooked through. Boiler broke and as a large party some rooms had no hot water. We had 8 rooms overall and spent lots of money overall. They have offered £15 refund and will not reply any more. We had food remnants on the curtain and the bath had the worst grime ever. Even the receptionist heaved when I showed her a photo. They also tried to charge for a guide dog. If your disabled there is a bath and not a wet room, also no plugs by the beds so if your dependent on CPAP your stuck. I have emailed the hotel and now typically no reply.

Really liked the idea of a drinks voucher instead of having room made up to help with the environment. Facilities were excellent - I used the gym and jacuzzi

Everyone was friendly, hotel was fabulous, staff very smiley and helpful, food was excellent, parking a plenty, great location for my work visit. There is nothing I didn’t like

The food was terrible but the restaurant manager was lovely asking if there was anything else we wanted. The breakfast was ok but we were seated in a very cold conservatory. The beds in the room were very small and nowadays there is just no need for beds that small. The lift wasn’t working and either had to be called by reception or we had to run up a floor to get it to go down, we wasn’t informed until we were actually stood there trying to figure out why it wouldn’t work, even after a conversation with reception about my disabled mum, best part they even apologised that they’d missed my email stating disabled room needed.

Nice location for trips, easy access o M1 and Sheffield

Wasn’t aware till till we arrived that building work was in progress and I asked to be moved after viewing 4 other rooms we moved to another room which was adequate. Food was samie menu wasn’t good refurbishment being done in restaurant and the place was cold had to que at the bar to order meals and drinks service was abysmal not enough-staff to cope had to wait for everything. We went into the pool not knowing that we couldn’t use it this was at 2.50pm and another couple came in and said to us the pools not to be used till 5pm so we left at 3.20pm and when we were out other people were using the pool has the manager had had complaints much to our horror we could have stopped in bad organisation skills someone should get a grip. Apart from all this going on there were dogs on seats in the bar area not acceptable people stunk of cigarettes on there clothes and breath bad experience.

Lots hot water bath good staff friendly lovely breakfast perfect for visiting sick relatives in hospital

Put in room 415 furthest top most room - tiny room could barely squish past each other small hard double bed and it was cold - radiators took an age to bring it to a comfortable temperature. Especially bad as staying two nights no room to swing the proverbial cat. The tv remote was ancient didn’t want to work and filthy - ugh

We stay in this hotel whenever we visit Rotherham. The staff are warm and helpful. Rooms comfy with good view over College Grounds. Great bar menus choice, freshly cooked. The staff work hard to support local events; fun large lunch club event for older people in progress during our visit.

We have stayed many times . However , this visit was very disappointing . Pool out of action as the chlorine levels not correct . The lift to the bedrooms has to be called from reception as the keycards were not working properly . As there was an event taking place in the evening it was busy at the bars but made even more so as one of them would only take cash . The bedrooms were very stuffy and hot.We put the desk fans on but ours made a clicking noise all night long . There was black mould on the grouting around the bath , & the bathroom door kept sticking . Sooooo disappointing . Hope the new owners fix these elements soon and give it the much needed makeover.
